In this article, you will learn how to easily provide your students with a certificate of completion for finishing a course.

What you will need:

  • A SystemeScale account
  • A course
  • At least 1 enrolled student

Part 1: Instructor Setup

To enable and customize certificates for your course, follow these steps inside your SystemeScale account:

1
Navigate to Courses
In the main menu, click on Assets and then select Courses.
2
Access course settings
Click the three dots next to your course, then select Settings to open the configuration panel.
3
Enable certificates
Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page and check the Issue certificate upon completion box.
4
Customize and save
You can personalize the certificates your students receive by adding your own branding elements:

β€’ Certificate logo: Upload your organization's logo to appear on the certificate. This reinforces your brand identity.
β€’ Signature: Upload a signature image (such as an instructor's or administrator's signature) to make the certificate official and personalized.

Once all set, click the Save button to apply the changes.

Certificate Generation
Apart from the custom signature and logo you upload, the certificate layout and text are generated automatically by the platform and cannot be structurally modified.

Part 2: Student Experience

Here is how a student triggers and downloads their certificate from their account:

1
Reach 100% completion
The student must mark all lectures in the course as complete to reach exactly 100% progress before they can trigger the certificate.
2
Download the certificate
Once 100% progress is reached, a Certificate of completion section appears on their dashboard. The student simply needs to click this button, then click Download Certificate of Completion to save their customized PDF.
