In this article, you will learn how to inject interactive popups onto your pages to scale lead generation, configure delivery delays, and link form submissions to your conversion workflows.

What you will need:

  • An active SystemeScale account.
  • A landing page built or hosted inside the builder interface.

1. Initializing and Creating a Popup

Popups are dynamic, localized design layers that remain hidden until triggered by user behavior or site parameters.

1
Open the Popups Interface Tray
Access your page canvas step inside the editor mode. In the upper-left secondary control header row, click directly on the Popups option button.
2
Add a Fresh Container Frame
A slide-out secondary panel will open on the left. Click on the plus (+) icon to generate a brand new, editable popup section module directly over your layout.

2. Adjusting Modal Settings and Behavioral Options

Once generated, the system renders the fresh overlay frame on the master builder screen canvas. To adapt how or when this screen shows to a visitor, you must adjust its structural properties.

Look directly above the boundaries of your inline form inside the editor tab and select the action button labeled Edit popup settings. This will instantly launch the technical configuration options menu inside your left sidebar dashboard tray, allowing you to manipulate these parameters:

  • Show close button: Toggle this property option to determine whether an active "βœ•" symbol button asset displays in the upper right-hand corner of your modal box frame.
  • Open the popup automatically: Set this option parameter to dictate if the container automatically displays itself to page visitors without requiring a direct element click loop.
  • Set a delay (in seconds): When automatic opening properties are active, you can input a precise integer variable timeline to control the exact duration delay in seconds before the modal box animates onto the screen.
  • Open on exit intent: Toggle this variable on to command the system node to launch the popup instantly if it tracks the visitor moving their cursor outside your site window boundaries (signaling an exit action).

3. Capturing Form Data and Directing Redirect Loops

To successfully capture user information (such as email inputs or names) inside your popup frame and write it permanently to your lead database tables, you must map the button element inside the modal container correctly.

Click directly on the primary button inside your popup window layout to load its specific properties inside the sidebar dashboard panel, and align these parameters:

  1. Button action: Open the primary click behavior selection matrix dropdown menu and choose exactly Submit form. This instruction logs the contact records in your system.
  2. Redirect choice: A complementary selection row properties block will appear immediately beneath. Specify exactly where to route your page visitor after form validation settles (such as to a distinct custom Thank You page step URL or external address).

A Note on Mandatory Field Requirements
If your popup button component is mapped to initialize a "Submit form" transaction sequence, you must ensure that a valid Form Input field explicitly set to the "Email" input type parameter sits within the popup container frame. Submissions without a valid email entry line block will fail system validation rules.
