In this article, you will learn how to add an X (formerly Twitter) share button to any of your pages using the page editor workspace.

What you will need:

  • An active SystemeScale account
  • An existing page step

Step 1: Place the X share button element

Adding a social share button encourages visitors to easily promote your content, increasing your reach organically on the X platform timeline feeds.

1
Drag and drop the social component
Open your page editor canvas. Look at the left elements menu panel sidebar choice column, grab the X share button element, and drag it directly onto your active layout design.

Step 2: Customize your share text configuration

Once the button block sits on your canvas, fine-tune its properties settings to define what text auto-populates the visitor's post box.

2
Open the element settings menu
Click precisely on your new button element on the canvas to open its properties configuration panel on the left options bar.
3
Enter the Tweet text properties choice
Find the Tweet text input field parameter inside the settings column. Enter the pre-written marketing message block string that will appear when a user clicks your button (e.g., "Check out this awesome guide from SystemeScale!").

Step 3: Save your page updates

Always save your layout changes inside the builder canvas immediately before exiting to push your updates live on your public URL paths.

4
Click Save inside the editor panel
Click on the blue Save button located in the top-right corner of the editor tray header to finalize your design updates instantly.
⚠️
Crucial Save Operation Rule
Be careful when committing changes inside your layout panel: once you click the save action button and reload your canvas session workspace, older versions of your page layout properties cannot be restored.
