How to create a blog category
In this article, you will learn how to create a blog category in SystemeScale.
What you need:
- A SystemeScale account
- A blog
Navigating to the blog categories section
Go to the Blogs section on the Sites tab, then click on your blog's name.
From your blog's menu, go to the Categories section to display all categories.
Renaming and deleting existing categories
When you first create your blog, three categories are automatically created with default names.
To rename a category, click the three dots (...) next to the category, then click Settings. To delete the category, click Delete.
Creating a new category
To create a new blog category, click the Create button. Complete the following fields in the popup that is displayed:
- Name: Enter the name of the category. This will be used as the title of the category page.
- Path: Define the URL path for your new category.
- Description: Provide a short description of the category.
- SEO title: Enter the page title that will be displayed in search engine results.
- SEO description: Add the meta description that summarizes the content of the category page.
- Save: Click this button to save and create the new category.
Adding categories to a post
To add or change a category for an existing post, go to the Posts section, click the three dots next to the post, then click Settings.
In your post settings, check the box for the category you want to assign, then click Save to apply the changes.
