The post layout defines the overall structure of your blog posts. It serves as a master template that determines the positioning of content and common elements shared across your blog.

Any element added to this page will appear on every post.

Managing the blog post template

To access the post layout editor, navigate to Blogs on the Sites tab, then click on your blog's name.

1
Open your blog
Navigate to Blogs on the Sites tab, then click on your blog's name.
2
Open Post Layout
From the blog's menu, go to the Posts section, then click on Post Layout.

Default elements in the post layout editor

In the post layout editor, the following elements have already been added by default by the system:

1. Blog post categories

This element will automatically be replaced by the category, or categories, assigned to the specific post.

2. Blog post title

This element will automatically be replaced by the post's title.

3. Blog post image

This element will automatically be replaced by the image cover uploaded to your post when it was created.

4. Blog post content

This element will be replaced by the content of each post.

🧩
These elements are dynamic
The post layout is a template. These default elements automatically pull the correct category, title, cover image, and content from each individual blog post.

Display the publication date

To display the publication date, you can add the Blog post date element to the post layout.

πŸ“…
Date display is optional
Add this element only if you want the publication date to appear on your blog posts.

Adding additional elements

Any element or block can be added to the post layout. Simply drag them from the panel on the left and drop them onto your page.

They can be configured as needed by clicking on each element's Settings icon.

⚠️
Changes apply to every post
Because the post layout is a master template, any element or block you add here will appear on every blog post that uses this layout.
