How to use the latest blog post carousel element
This article explains how to use the Latest blog posts carousel element on your SystemeScale blogβs post list page.
The element automatically displays your latest blog posts inside a carousel, then allows you to control how many posts appear, which category is shown, and how the carousel looks on the page.
Step 1: Open your blog
Navigate to the Sites tab, click Blogs, and then click on your blogβs Title.
Step 2: Edit the post list page
Inside the blog dashboard, go to the Pages section. Then, click the three dots next to the Post list page and select Edit.
Step 3: Add the Latest blog posts carousel element
In the editor, drag and drop the Latest blog posts carousel element onto the page. Your blog posts will automatically appear within the element.
Step 4: Open the element settings
Click on the settings button of this element to access its parameters.
From the element parameters, you can control the carouselβs content, navigation, colors, and visual appearance.
Key settings for the carousel
The key settings for this element include:
- Number of slides for the carousel: Insert the number of posts that should be displayed in the carousel.
- Blog post image position: Choose where the image appears: above the text, to the left of the text, or as a background image.
- Category: Select a specific category if you only want to display posts from that group.
- Number of posts per row: Choose whether to show more than one post per row.
- Display or not the arrow navigation: Check this box if you want to show the arrow navigation.
- Controls color: Change the color of the slide indicators.
- Arrow color: Change the color of the navigation arrows.
- Content background color: Change the background color behind the content inside the carousel.
Customize the carouselβs visual appearance
You can also customize the carouselβs visual appearance from the element settings.
- Image settings: Add rounded corners or a shadow effect to post images, and adjust the margins around them.
- Title and description: Modify font size, line height, color, and alignment to improve readability.
- Categories: Change the text color, font, and alignment of the post category labels.
- Date display: Choose whether to show or hide the date, then adjust its font size, color, alignment, and margins.
- Size and position: Adjust padding and margins to control the spacing around the element.
