How to manually add a student to a course
Manual enrolment lets you add individual students to a course without them going through a payment funnel. This is useful for team training, gifted access, beta testers, students who paid off-platform, or anyone you want to give course access to directly.
Step-by-step: adding a student manually
1
Go to Assets → Courses
In the top navigation bar, hover over Assets and click Courses. Open the course you want to enrol the student in.
2
Click Add student
The Add student button is near the top of the course management page.
3
Enter the student details
Fill in the enrolment form:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address — the address used to send login credentials and course notifications.
4
Choose the access type
Select the access type for this specific student:
- Full access — all lectures are immediately available.
- Drip content — lectures unlock on the schedule you defined when setting up the course. See: How to set up drip content.
- Partial access — only specific modules are visible. You select which modules on the next screen.
5
Click Save
The student is enrolled immediately. SystemeScale automatically sends a welcome email containing their login credentials (email and a generated password) and the course URL.
ℹ️
Students do not need to create an account first
Manually added students do not need to register anywhere. SystemeScale creates their student account automatically when you save the enrolment. Their login email is the address you entered.
What the student receives
- An automatic email with their login credentials and the course URL.
- Access to the course player at your configured course domain.
- Visibility of whichever lectures are active and match their access type.
💡
Change access type for an existing student
To update a student's access type after enrolment — for example, to upgrade from Partial to Full access — go to the course Students tab → find the student → three-dot menu → Edit access → change the type → Save.
Revoking access
To remove a student's course access: Students tab → find the student → three-dot menu → Revoke access → confirm. The student immediately loses access. This does not delete them from your contact list. See: How to revoke course access from a student.
