How to grant access to a course on a specific date
In this article, youβll learn how to successfully schedule and grant access to a course on a specific date, which is perfect for scheduled launches or cohort-based programs.

Setting a date for your course launch
To set a specific date for your course launch to open, follow these steps:

Configure the order form
Go to the Order form step of the sales funnel you are going to use to sell your course. Select the Digital product offer type, and then click on the (+) button in the Resources tab.

Add the course resource
Choose the Courses resource from the dropdown. Select your specific course and the access type you want to grant. Then, toggle the Grant access on specific date switch to the active position.

Select the date
Select the exact access date of your choice from the calendar popup, then save your changes.

Important Notes on Scheduled Access
- Your students will gain access to the course on the selected day at 12:00 AM (midnight) in your account's time zone.
- You can optionally set an expiration delay if you select Full access or Partial access instead of Drip content (learn the difference between access types here).
- Expiration delays are calculated in days.
- Your students will receive an automated welcome email containing their login link immediately after payment, but the actual course content will remain locked until the specified access date arrives.
Example of scheduled access
Here is a real-world example of what scheduled access with an expiration looks like in practice:
In the payment page settings of the sales funnel we are using to sell our course, we add our course resource and configure the following values:
- The date to grant access: March 1, 2026
- The expiration delay: 30 days
Result:
Students who purchase the course will have active access from March 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM until March 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM. This provides them with exactly 30 full days of active content access.
