How to send automated course reminder emails to students
This article explains how to set up automatic reminder emails to help students complete their courses. With this feature, reminders can be sent based on student behavior and progress, giving you full control over timing, frequency, and message content.
What you will need:
- A SystemeScale account
- A classic course configured on the platform
Step 1: Accessing Reminder Settings
1
Navigate to Course Settings
From your main dashboard, go to the Assets tab and select Courses. Click the three-dot menu next to the desired course and select Settings.
2
Enable the Configuration Interface
Scroll down to the Email reminders section. Check the Enable email reminders box to activate the Reminder settings button, then click it to open the setup pop-up window.
Step 2: Configuring Behavioral Rules and Timing
3
Define the Send Conditions
Under When to send, choose one of two timing conditions to trigger the engine:
β’ Days after course enrollment: Triggers a set number of days after they join.
β’ Days after last login: Triggers after a defined period of student inactivity.
Enter your ideal number of days and specify the precise time of day for the delivery to execute.

Target the Right Audience Segment
Choose who should receive the automated message. You can check boxes to target students who havenβt started the course, students who made partial progress (with an adjustable minimum percentage milestone slider), or both segments simultaneously.
5
Establish Sending Frequency
Select your campaign structure:
β’ Once: The email sends exactly one time when the behavioral rule conditions are satisfied.
β’ Repeat: The email continues to send repeatedly at a defined day interval. If enabled, you can configure the sequence to automatically stop on a specific date or after a defined number of occurrences.
