How to add a downloadable file
In this article, you will learn the exact sequence required to transform standard text into a secure, downloadable file link directly within the SystemeScale builder.
To get started, you will need:
- An active SystemeScale account.
- A published page open in edit mode.
Step 1: Establishing the Text Anchor

Drag and Drop the Element
Inside the visual editor workspace, locate the Text element within the left-hand configuration panel. Click and drag it directly onto your live page canvas.

Step 2: Creating the File Download Link

Initialize the Link Modal
Use your cursor to highlight the specific text string you want to act as the download trigger (e.g., "Click here"). A floating formatting toolbar will appear above the text. Click the Link icon (chain symbol) to initialize the modal.

Access the File Manager
In the popup window that appears, ignore the standard URL text box. Instead, click the Upload arrow icon located directly next to the input field to open the secure file manager.

Upload your File
The central file manager will open. You have two operational paths:
- Upload a new file: Drag and drop your target file directly into the designated drop zone, or click to manually browse your local device storage.
- Select an existing asset: Choose a file that has already been successfully uploaded and stored within your SystemeScale account library.

Insert and Confirm
Once the file upload registers as complete, highlight it and click the Insert button located in the lower right corner. The modal will close. Finally, click the green Confirm checkmark on the floating toolbar to securely bind the file to your text.
Step 3: Verifying the Download Loop
Before driving active traffic to your funnel, it is critical to verify that the retrieval loop functions flawlessly.
- Click the Save changes button located in the top-right corner of the master editor panel.
- Click the Preview icon (the eye symbol) immediately adjacent to the save button to launch a live rendering of the page in a new tab.
- On the live preview canvas, click the hyperlinked text. Verify that the browser initiates the download sequence successfully and that the file payload is correct.
