How to create and add a coupon code to your order form
In this article, you will learn how to create a coupon and insert it into your order form (payment page).
You will need:
- A SystemeScale account
- A sales funnel (How to create a sales funnel)
- An order form (How to create an order form)
1. Creating a coupon

Navigate to the Coupons section
Go to the Assets tab in the main menu and click on Coupons.

Create the new coupon
Click on the Create button.

Enter the coupon details
In the popup window, enter the following information:
- Coupon name: A descriptive name for the promo code.
- Coupon code: The exact promo code that the customer must enter to benefit from the discount.
- Discount type: Choose between a fixed amount or a percentage discount.
- Discount amount: The numerical value of the discount you wish to offer.
- Expiration: An expiration date for your promo code.
- Limit of use: The maximum number of total users who can use this coupon.
What is the difference between the two discount types?
- Fixed amount discount: A specific, flat amount deducted from the total price plan. (Example: Price plan = $1,000; coupon value = $20. The customer pays: $980). By choosing the Fixed amount discount type, a new Coupon currency field will appear, where you must select the currency of the amount for which you wish to offer a discount.
- Percentage discount: This type of coupon will discount a percentage of the total price. (Example: Price plan = $1,000; coupon value = 10%. The customer pays = $900).

Important Notes
- Discounts for subscriptions or payment plans are applied on the payment due date each month. (Example: If the subscription is $100 / month and the coupon discount value is $20, the customer will pay $80 / month).
- To offer a full discount (100% free), set the fixed amount equal to the price, or set the percentage discount to 100%.
- To allow unlimited uses, leave the limit of use box completely blank.

Expiration Date Formatting
You must select the expiration date using the integrated calendar popup. If you type the date manually, the coupon will not work correctly.
2. Inserting the coupon into the sales funnel

Configure the order form
After creating your funnel and payment page, click on the order form step. Scroll down to the Coupons section and click the plus (+) icon.

Select the coupon code
Select the discount type and choose your specific coupon code from the dropdown. Click Save. You'll now see the coupon listed in the settings of your order form/payment page.

Add the element to the page
Click Edit page to open the drag-and-drop editor.
Drag the Coupon element onto your page (this creates the input box for the user). Finally, click Save to apply your changes.
