How to connect your OVH subdomain to SystemeScale
On this page, you will learn how to add DNS records to OVH to connect your subdomain.
This allows you to add a subdomain, such as subdomain.domain.com, to SystemeScale for use in your sales funnels and blogs, helping you maintain a professional brand.
What youβll need:
- A SystemeScale account
- A domain name purchased from OVH
β οΈ
Complete the first subdomain integration step first
Please follow the first step of the Integrating your subdomain in SystemeScale article before completing the OVH DNS instructions on this page.
π
Start with the subdomain integration guide
Add your subdomain to SystemeScale first, then return here to complete the OVH DNS records.
Step 1: Add your subdomain in SystemeScale
After adding the subdomain to SystemeScale, access the DNS settings from your OVH account.
π
Each subdomain has its own CNAME records
Each subdomain added to SystemeScale has its own CNAME records that must be integrated into your hosting service.
βΉοΈ
Example used in this guide
In this example, the subdomain
exemple.lancervotrebusiness.xyz is being integrated into SystemeScale. Your own CNAME values will be generated inside your SystemeScale account.1
Open Custom domains
Connect to your SystemeScale account, click your profile picture, then go to Custom domains.
2
Add your subdomain
Click Add domain and add the subdomain you want to connect.
Step 2: Add the first CNAME record in OVH
The first CNAME points your subdomain to the CloudFront target provided by SystemeScale.
1
Open the DNS zone
In OVH, redirect to the DNS ZONE of your domain name.
2
Add a new entry
Click Add entry, then select CNAME.
3
Enter the subdomain
In the subdomain box, add
example.4
Enter the target
In the target box, add
df2d7tqm36bg1.cloudfront.net.π
If the CNAME already exists
If a CNAME record with the name
example already exists, edit the target to df2d7tqm36bg1.cloudfront.net.Step 3: Add the second CNAME record in OVH
The second CNAME is used for domain validation. Add it from the same DNS zone area.
1
Open the DNS zone again
Redirect to the DNS ZONE of your domain name.
2
Add another CNAME entry
Click Add Entry, then select CNAME.
3
Enter the validation subdomain
In the subdomain box, add everything before the domain name. In this example, use
_f06aeeb43b997f5cdd1d01ef2f67e53b.example.4
Enter the validation target
In the target box, add
_c90ab718a04f28d8a9ed04ce22e41221.hnyhpvdqhv.acm-validations.aws.β οΈ
Use your own generated records
The CNAME values above are examples. Copy the exact records shown in your own SystemeScale account for the subdomain you are connecting.
Step 4: Check CNAME propagation
Once the two CNAME records have been added to your host, you can check their propagation using DNS Checker.
1
Open DNS Checker
Go to dnschecker.org.
2
Search the full CNAME name
Enter the full CNAME name, including your domain name, into the search bar.
3
Confirm the indicators
The indicators should all be green. If they are not green, the records have not been entered correctly and you need to review your DNS zone.
Important notes
β³
DNS propagation can take time
It can take between 24 and 48 hours for DNS records to fully propagate.
β οΈ
Resolve DNS conflicts with OVH support
Sometimes your host may not be able to record your CNAMEs because of a conflict with another DNS record. If a conflict occurs, contact OVH support to determine whether the existing records are necessary or can be safely removed.
