How to connect your OVH domain to SystemeScale
On this page, you will learn how to add DNS records to OVH to connect your main domain name, so you can use it as a custom domain in your sales funnels and blogs.
What you will need:
- A SystemeScale account
- A domain name purchased from OVH
β οΈ
Complete the first domain step before continuing
Please follow the first step in the general domain connection article before completing this OVH setup.
π
Start with the domain connection guide
Add your root domain to SystemeScale first, then return here to complete the OVH DNS records.
Step 1: Add your domain in SystemeScale
1
Open Custom Domains
Hover over your profile picture, click Settings, then go to Custom Domains.
2
Add your subdomain
Add the subdomain you want to connect, such as
www.yourdomain.com.βΉοΈ
Your own CNAME values
Each domain added to SystemeScale has its own CNAME records generated inside your account. The values shown in this guide are examples only.
Step 2: Add the first CNAME record in OVH
1
Open the DNS Zone
Go to the DNS Zone of your domain inside OVH, then click Add entry and select CNAME.
2
Enter the subdomain and target
In the subdomain box, add
www. In the target box, add the CloudFront value provided by SystemeScale (e.g., d32cvofu79pqqq.cloudfront.net.).π
If a www CNAME already exists
If a CNAME record with the name
www already exists, edit its target to the CloudFront value provided by SystemeScale instead of creating a new record.Step 3: Add the second CNAME record in OVH
1
Add a validation CNAME
Click Add Entry, select CNAME. In the subdomain box, add everything before the domain name (e.g.,
_6802ab30e0c6d5d01f31ea11226c727f). In the target box, add the ACM validation path from your account.β οΈ
Use your own generated records
The CNAME records above are examples. Copy the exact records shown in your own SystemeScale account.
Step 4: Create a redirect rule in OVH
1
Forwarding β Add Redirection
Click Redirection, then Add Redirection. Leave the field empty, click Next. Choose a web address, click Next. Choose with visible redirection. Select Permanent (301) and enter your
https://www.domain.com address. Validate and click Next to finish.Step 5: Check CNAME propagation
1
Verify at dnschecker.org
Go to dnschecker.org, enter the full CNAME name including your domain, and confirm green indicators on both records.
β³
DNS propagation can take time
DNS records can take between 24 and 48 hours to fully propagate.
β οΈ
Resolve conflicting DNS records
If your host cannot save your CNAME records due to conflicts, contact OVH to determine whether the existing records can be safely removed.
