In this article, you will learn how to create UTM parameters for SystemeScale pages and activate the UTM tracking feature.
What are UTM parameters?
UTM parameters are short codes added to a URL to track which traffic sources lead to your pages.
These codes must be added manually. The data collected gives additional insight into your contacts, helping you understand which links they used to opt in.

What UTM tracking helps you understand
UTM tracking helps you compare campaign sources, channels, ads, emails, and links so you can see which campaigns are bringing contacts into your funnels.
Adding UTM parameters using Googleβs Campaign URL Builder
Googleβs Campaign URL Builder is a free tool that helps you create custom URLs with UTM parameters for your SystemeScale marketing campaigns.

Open the Campaign URL Builder
2
Enter the Website URL
Enter the URL of the page you want to track, for example https://www.example.com/landing-page.
3
Enter the Campaign Source
Specify the source of your traffic, such as a search engine like Google, a social media platform like Facebook, or a newsletter like customer newsletter.
4
Enter the Campaign Medium
Indicate the marketing medium, such as email, paid ads, or social media.
5
Enter the Campaign Name
Provide a descriptive name for your campaign, such as coaching_course_2023, so you can easily identify it in your analytics reports.
6
Add optional fields if needed
You can also fill in the Campaign Term and Campaign Content fields to track extra details such as keywords or ad variations.
7
Copy the generated URL
After providing the campaign information, the tool will automatically generate a custom URL with UTM parameters. Copy this URL and use it in your emails, social media posts, ads, and other campaigns.

Use unique URLs per channel
Create unique URLs with appropriate UTM parameters for each marketing channel and campaign to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
