What happens when my account gets restricted
In this article, you will learn about the SystemeScale restriction process and what happens to your account when it gets restricted.
Each SystemeScale plan has a limited number of contacts that can be managed by the user.
Why would an account be restricted?
There are two situations where restrictions may be applied to a SystemeScale account.
1. Exceeding the contact limit defined by the subscription plan
- Freemium Plan: 2,000 contacts.
- Startup Plan: 5,000 contacts.
- Webinar Plan: 10,000 contacts.
- Unlimited Plan: Unlimited contacts.
2. Exceeding feature limits after a change in plan
This may occur when you cancel a paid subscription and revert to Freemium, or downgrade to a lower-tier plan. To check your current subscription, go to Profile picture > Settings > My plan.
The pre-restriction process
When plan limits are exceeded, a pre-restriction process is initiated. During this process:
- You will receive three warning emails, one per day.
- An alert is displayed on your SystemeScale dashboard.
Upgrade to a higher plan
Upgrading increases your contact limits and available features. Contact support if no available options meet your current needs.
Remove exceeded items
Go to Profile picture > Settings > My plan. Items exceeding plan limits appear in red in the subscription summary table.
Clean or delete contacts
If you are exceeding the contact limit, clean your email list or delete contacts using other criteria.
The restriction process
If no action is taken by the fourth day, the restriction process is automatically activated. There are two scenarios: Freemium plan and Paid plan.
Freemium plan restriction
SystemeScale sends a final warning email and displays a permanent alert on your dashboard. Once restricted, several features are disabled:
General account limitations
- Opt-ins and payments stop working.
- Contacts and students cannot be added through any method.
- New sales cannot be processed.
- Users cannot join a community owned by a restricted account.
Email-related limitations
- New newsletters cannot be created.
- Scheduled newsletters are not sent.
- Email campaigns are paused.
- Sending test emails is disabled.
Automations
- New automation and workflow triggers do not activate.
- Existing automations that are already running continue normally.
Course and student communication
- Drip access emails are paused. After restriction ends, only the last email for the last unlocked lecture will be sent.
- Course reminder emails will not be sent.
- Students retain access to previously unlocked lectures, but course access is blocked.
- Manual enrollment from the dashboard is disabled.
Paid plan restriction handling
For paid plans, the system automatically upgrades the subscription to the next available tier to ensure uninterrupted service. If you want to return to your original plan, excess content must first be removed, then contact customer support to request the downgrade.
What to do next
To avoid or resolve account restriction, check your current plan limits, remove exceeded items, clean or delete contacts, or upgrade your plan before the fourth day of the restriction process.
