How to add a comment section to your course
In this article, you will learn how to add a student comment section to your course to increase engagement and allow your students to interact with you and each other.
β οΈ
Important Limitation
The comment element is strictly tied to course content. It is only available in the lecture settings and cannot be added to a blog page, a standard webpage, or a sales funnel step.
Step-by-step instructions
1
Access lecture settings
Open your course to view the list of modules and lectures. Locate the specific lecture where you want to add the comment section, hover over it, and click on Settings.
2
Enable comments
In the popup window that appears, check the Enable comments box and click save to apply the changes.
Features of the comment section
Once enabled, students will see the interactive comment section positioned at the bottom of the lecture page.

What students can post
When adding a comment, a student's full name and profile picture will be displayed automatically. Their comments can include text as well as:
- An image or a video uploaded directly from their device
- A direct video link (supported embeds include YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Vimeo, Wistia, or Loom)
- A GIF
- An external link
- Emojis
Interacting with comments
- Likes & Replies: Students can like a comment by clicking on the Thumbs up icon, and directly reply to a specific comment by clicking Reply.
- Viewing Threads: You can view all replies to a comment by clicking on X Replies. To collapse the thread, simply click Hide replies.
- Sorting: Comments can be sorted by Newest first, Oldest first, or by Most popular (based on likes and engagement).
- Editing: Students have the ability to edit or completely remove their own comments by clicking on the three dots next to their comment.
