How to sell community access to your customers
In this article, you will learn how to automatically grant customers access to your community after they make a purchase.
This setup is useful when you want to sell access to a paid community, private group, membership space, coaching circle, course-support community, or customer-only discussion area.
What you need before you start
Before adding community access to your offer, make sure you already have the following:
- A SystemeScale account
- A community
- A sales funnel
- An order form/payment page
- A price plan for the offer
How community access works after purchase
When you attach a community as a digital product resource on your order form, customers can automatically receive access after buying the offer.
This means the purchase becomes the access trigger. Once the order is completed, SystemeScale grants access to the selected community according to the offer and payment settings.
Add the community resource to your order form
To sell community access, open the sales funnel that contains your order form, then select your Order Form step.
Under Choose offer type, select Digital Product. Then click the plus (+) icon to create a new digital product.
Select the community as a resource
After creating the digital product, add the community as the resource customers should receive.
Add a price plan before selling
You must add a price plan to your offer before you can sell community access.
The price plan determines how customers will pay for access, such as a one-time payment or a subscription, depending on how you structure the offer.
Access removal after cancellation or refund
Community access is automatically managed when payment status changes.
- If a customer cancels their subscription, they automatically lose access to the community.
- If a one-time purchase is refunded, access is immediately revoked.
Best practices for selling community access
Before sending traffic to your offer, check that the customer journey works from payment to community access.
- Confirm the correct community is selected as the digital product resource.
- Confirm the order form has an active price plan.
- Test the checkout flow before promoting the offer.
- Make sure your community name and URL path are clear and brand-appropriate.
- Decide whether the community should be public or private before selling access.
- Use clear post-purchase instructions so customers know where to access the community.
