How to add a survey to your page
In this article, you will learn how to integrate the dynamic Survey element into your sales funnel flows, customize response criteria, assign contact tags automatically, and review user responses.
What you will need:
- An active SystemeScale account.
- A page configured within a sales funnel template architecture.
1. Placing the Survey Element
Open your funnel step inside the live builder space. Scroll down the left component dashboard tab to locate the advanced forms sections, select the Survey block, and drag it directly onto your editor canvas layout.
2. Structuring and Editing Questionnaire Steps
Click directly on the survey element boundaries to highlight it, and view its configuration tools inside your left panel sidebar dashboard. Click on the button labeled Edit survey questions to call up the multi-step structural configuration window.
This dynamic interface lets you modify your inquiry flow:
- Add Inquiries: Click the Add question action button to spin up a new question slide layer. You can include as many distinct questions as your marketing sequence requires.
- Update Content: Highlight any question item row inside the interface to modify its text line or input a complementary description subtitle to help describe your focus.
- Manage Order: Utilize the trash bin icon to remove redundant entries immediately, or click the directional arrows to instantly reorder the sequence.
Mapping Answer Choices and Automation Tags
Click the Add answer button link beneath any selected question item to establish distinct multiple-choice response categories. Within each answer choice row block, you can configure granular optimization fields:
- Automated Tag Segregation: You can choose to assign a specific system tag to each distinct answer option. When an active visitor highlights that specific answer choice and submits the form, the targeted tag instantly binds to their profile. If tag mapping is unnecessary for a specific response choice, leave the field blank.
- Open-Ended Responses: Toggle the checkbox option for Open-ended answer if you want respondents to type a custom, free-form text string instead of selecting a pre-defined choice. Note that because open-ended options are variable, you cannot link automated tags to them.
Once your question layers and option rows are completely updated, click the BACK button navigation link to return to the root page builder canvas view.
3. Styling and Visual Customization
You can fine-tune the design of your element utilizing the formatting tools located inside the left panel sidebar layout when the master survey component is highlighted. Adjust row typography sizes, option color palettes, borders, container margins, and question transition animations to match your company's aesthetic.
4. Managing the Final Step and Lead Capture fields
The technical architecture of the element splits into two distinct processing segments: the multi-step questionnaire questions and the concluding "Final step" dashboard layout block where the visitor inputs identity records.
Click directly on the Final step button indicator nested inside your sidebar element settings window to configure this capture layer view. By default layout parameters, this screen features a mandatory, non-removable Email input field.
This email address field data link is strictly required by the backend system. Visitors must complete your question screens first, then supply their contact address at the concluding stage. This sequence is the only way the database can map the collected session responses and attach them to a profile file.
5. Accessing and Reviewing Survey Submissions
To inspect your leads' completed questionnaires and data logs, follow this administrative path:
- Navigate to your primary dashboard panel tab and choose CRM > Contacts.
- Locate your targeted user row and click directly on their contact email address to launch their profile record page.
- Scroll down through their metadata categories to reach the designated Surveys section.
- Click directly on any individual question entry line item listed inside that layout box to instantly reveal the contact's matching response value.
