In this article, you will learn how to host a file on SystemeScale and acquire its URL for convenient sharing by adding it to a text link, image, or button.
You can use this when you want visitors to download a file, open a hosted file, or copy the direct file URL for sharing elsewhere.
Hosting and downloading a file using a text link
Use this method when you want a word, phrase, or sentence on your page to open or download a hosted file.

Add a Text element
Drag the Text element and drop it onto your page.

Select the clickable text
Select the text you want to make clickable, then click the link icon.

Open the file upload popup
A popup will appear. Click the arrow icon next to the link field to upload or select a file.

Choose the file
In the next popup, drag and drop the file into the upload box or select it from your device.

Use an existing file if preferred
Alternatively, choose a file that is already stored in your SystemeScale account.

Insert the file
Once the file has been added, click Insert.

Confirm the link
Click Confirm to upload your file and apply it to the text link.
Test the text file link
We recommend testing your link afterward to make sure it works properly.

Save the page
Click the Save button.

Saved changes cannot be restored
Once the changes are saved, the old version of the page cannot be restored. Review your changes before saving.

Preview the page
Click the Preview button and test the clickable text.

Copy the direct file URL
To share a direct link to the file, click the clickable text, then right-click and copy the file URL generated in SystemeScale.

Hosting and downloading a file using a clickable image
Use this method when you want an image to act as the clickable download or file-opening element.

Add an Image element
Drag the Image element and drop it onto your page.

Open the image settings
Click the Settings button to open the element panel on the left.

Insert the image
Click the cloud-shaped button to insert your image.

Upload or select an image
In the popup, drag and drop the image into the upload box, select it from your device, or pick a file already stored in your SystemeScale account.

Insert the image on the page
Upload the image to your page by clicking Insert.

Configure image redirection
To make your image clickable, choose a file in the left panel to configure the redirection by clicking the cloud-shaped button.

Upload or choose the downloadable file
A window will appear where you can upload your file. Drag and drop it into the upload area, browse your device, or choose a file already saved in your SystemeScale account.

Insert the downloadable file
Click Insert to complete the upload of your file.

Copy the direct URL
To share a direct link to the file, copy the URL generated in SystemeScale by right-clicking the linked file URL and copying the link.

Use this method when you want a button to download or open the hosted file.

Drag the Button element and drop it onto your page.

Open button settings
Click your button parameters.

Choose the download action
Choose the Download file button action.

Click the cloud-shaped button to insert a file.

Once the file has been added, click Insert.

Save your page by clicking Save, then click Preview.

To share a direct link to the file, click the button on which you set up the file download, then copy the file URL from your browser.

You can reuse files already stored in your SystemeScale account when linking text, images, or buttons. This is helpful when you want to avoid uploading the same file multiple times.
