In this article, you will learn how to add a reCAPTCHA to your registration forms, whether they are on a contact page or any other opt-in page.

What you'll need

  • A SystemeScale account
  • A sales funnel
  • A contact page
  • A registration form

1. Generating reCAPTCHA keys

To add a reCAPTCHA to a contact page, you will need specific keys that must be generated from the following website: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/about/

Once on the page linked above, log in to your Google account and click Get started.

Fill out the Google reCAPTCHA form

Next, fill out the form on the Google reCAPTCHA page:

  • Add a label to easily identify the site in the future.
  • Select reCAPTCHA v2 and choose the specific type for your page.
  • Add your domain name and your email address.
  • Name your project.
  • Accept the reCAPTCHA Terms of Service and submit the request.

Two keys will be generated
Once the request is submitted, you will be redirected to a page where two keys are generated: your Site key and your Secret key.

2. Adding keys to your SystemeScale account

Now that you have generated the two necessary keys, you must add them to your SystemeScale account.

1
Open Custom domains
Go to Settings, then Custom domains.
2
Open the domain settings
On your domain, click the three dots, then click Settings.
3
Paste the reCAPTCHA keys
Scroll down to reCAPTCHA settings, paste your Site key and Secret key, then click Save.
⚠️
Use the matching domain
Ensure that the domain name selected for your funnel step matches the one you added to your Google account when generating the keys.

a. Adding reCAPTCHA to a contact page

The captcha element is already included in the contact page template and is ready for use. You can find customization options on the left side of the editor if you wish to modify it.

Contact page template behavior
For contact pages, the captcha element is already present in the template. After the keys are added correctly, the captcha can be used from the contact page editor.

b. Adding reCAPTCHA to other registration forms

You can also strengthen the security of any registration forms by manually adding a reCAPTCHA element.

To do this, open the page editor. In the menu on the left, find the reCAPTCHA element. Select it and drag it to the desired location on your page.

Recommended placement
