Why create the ebook as a physical product?
To sell an ebook with a VAT rate of 5.5%, create it from the Physical products area so you can define the VAT rate directly on the product before selling it.
Step 1: Create the physical product
To be able to sell an ebook with a VAT rate of 5.5%, go to Physical products under the Assets section. Then click Create.
When creating your physical product, indicate a VAT rate of 5.5% before saving.

Go to Assets, then open Physical products and click Create.

During product creation, enter the required product details and set the VAT rate to 5.5% before you save the product.

Step 2: Sell the product
To sell a product, you need a sales funnel with a payment page. You can create a sales funnel first, then create an order form or payment page inside that funnel.
Once you've created your funnel and your payment page, click on your Order form page where you will add the product you've created.

Choose the physical product offer type
On the order form page settings, scroll down and select Physical product from the two offer types available on your order form.

Select the product and save
Choose the title of your physical product, then click Save.

Open the page editor
On the same page, click Edit page to open the page editor.
In the editor, you can organise the elements however you like. The important part is to add your product to the payment page.

Add the product element
Choose where you want the product to appear. Then drag the Physical product element from the Payment section on the left sidebar and drop it into that area. After adding the product, its information will be displayed in the product section.

Add the price element
Drag and drop the Offer price element, also found in the Payment section, onto the page.

Save your page changes manually
Whenever you finish editing a page or make any other changes, click the Save button in the top-right corner of the page. There is no auto-saving feature in the page editor.
Step 3: Add the ebook as an email attachment
On your payment page, go to the Automations section. Create an automation rule with the trigger New sale and the action Send email. This action will be triggered when someone buys the offer.

Click + to create the email that will be sent after purchase.

Attach the ebook
Add your ebook as an attachment to the email.

Save the automation rule
Click Save rule to activate the post-purchase email delivery.

Attachment file size limit
The maximum file size for email attachments is 5 MB.
Your customers will now automatically receive the ebook by email after purchase.
