What is two-factor authentication (2FA), and how can I disable it?

βœ… Account security

Your security is our top priority. SystemeScale uses two-factor authentication (2FA) to help protect your data and prevent unauthorized access.

By adding an extra layer of security beyond a password, 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to online accounts.

Even if your password is compromised, 2FA acts as an extra barrier, making it much harder for someone else to access your account.

What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication is a login security method that requires a second form of identification after your password.

In SystemeScale, this second form of identification is a validation code sent to the email address associated with your account when you try to log in.

Why 2FA matters
2FA helps protect your account even if someone else gets your password, because they would still need access to the validation code sent to your email.

How 2FA works when you log in

When 2FA is active, SystemeScale emails a validation code to the address connected to your account during login.

You must enter that code to complete the login process.

Check your account email
The validation code is sent to the email address associated with your SystemeScale account.

Trust this device

To avoid entering a code every time you log in from the same device, check the Trust this device box.

This tells SystemeScale that the device is trusted, so you do not have to enter a validation code every time you sign in from that device.

Use only on your personal device
Only trust devices you personally own and control. Avoid using this option on public, shared, or borrowed devices.

Disabling 2FA

By default, two-factor authentication is enabled for all SystemeScale users.

To disable 2FA, go to Settings β†’ Security and uncheck the Two-factor authentication box.

1
Open Settings
Go to your SystemeScale account settings.
2
Open Security
Click Security.
3
Uncheck 2FA
Uncheck the Two-factor authentication box.

If you are locked out

If you are locked out of your account and cannot disable 2FA, please contact our support team for assistance.

⚠️
Do not share your login details
If you need help accessing your account, contact support instead of sharing your password or email validation code with another person.
