How to offer iDEAL and Bancontact payments in SystemeScale

In this article, you will learn how to activate payments by iDEAL and Bancontact.

What you'll need

  • A SystemeScale account
  • A Stripe account with iDEAL and Bancontact enabled

Setup process

In SystemeScale, it is possible to activate payments with iDEAL and Bancontact using Stripe.

To activate this feature, ensure you have configured the following settings in your Stripe account:

  • iDEAL and Bancontact are integrated.
  • SEPA Direct Debit is enabled.
  • The Stripe account is integrated with SystemeScale.

Connect Stripe first
iDEAL and Bancontact are activated through Stripe, so your Stripe account must be connected to SystemeScale before these options can be enabled in your funnel.

Enable iDEAL and Bancontact in Stripe

Before checking the options inside your funnel, confirm that iDEAL and Bancontact are already enabled in your Stripe account.

Also confirm that SEPA Direct Debit is enabled, because it is required for these payment methods to work correctly.

SEPA Direct Debit is required
If SEPA Direct Debit is not enabled in Stripe, iDEAL and Bancontact may not work correctly even if the Stripe account is connected to SystemeScale.

Activate iDEAL and Bancontact in Funnel settings

After iDEAL and Bancontact are integrated and SEPA Direct Debit is enabled, iDEAL and Bancontact options will automatically become available in the Funnel settings.

Open the relevant funnel, then go to Funnel settings.

Check the boxes for iDEAL and Bancontact, then click Save.

Check the boxes for iDEAL and Bancontact.

Save the funnel settings
Click Save to confirm the payment-method selection.

Confirm the options on your order form

After you save the funnel settings, iDEAL and Bancontact will appear as payment options on your order form.

Once Stripe is correctly configured and the funnel settings are saved, customers will be able to select iDEAL or Bancontact on the order form.

Required payment page fields

For Bancontact payments to work properly, the Email and First Name fields are mandatory on your payment pages.
