In this article, you will learn how to delete tags that are no longer needed in SystemeScale.

It can sometimes be useful to delete a tag that you no longer use, especially when cleaning up old segments, outdated campaigns, duplicate labels, or unused CRM categories.

Before deleting a tag

Before deleting a tag, make sure you no longer need it for segmentation, automations, workflows, campaign tracking, customer organization, or reporting.

If the tag is used in an automation rule, workflow, order form resource, or manual CRM process, review those areas before removing it.

Deletion is permanent
After confirming deletion, the tag is permanently deleted. Review the tag carefully before confirming.

Step 1: Open Tags

To delete a tag, navigate to the CRM tab and select Tags.

Open CRM
Go to the CRM tab in your SystemeScale account.

Select Tags
Click Tags to open the tag management page.

Step 2: Find the tag you want to delete

Find the tag you want to delete in the tag list.

Hover over the three-dot menu (...) next to the tag, then click Delete.

Locate the tag that is no longer needed.

Open the three-dot menu
Hover over the three-dot menu (...) next to the tag.

Click Delete
Click Delete from the tag menu.

Step 3: Confirm the deletion

A confirmation window will appear. Click Confirm to delete the tag permanently.

Review the confirmation
Make sure you selected the correct tag.

Click Confirm
Click Confirm to permanently delete the tag.

Best practices for deleting tags

  • Delete tags only when you are sure they are no longer needed.
  • Check whether the tag is used in automation rules or workflows before deleting it.
  • Avoid deleting tags that are still useful for reporting, segmentation, or sales tracking.
