In this article, we’ll explore the different methods you can use for granting course access to your students.

What you'll need:

There are 4 different methods for giving contacts access to a course:

1
Automatically add a student after a purchase
To grant course access automatically after a successful purchase, you must configure the settings in the Resources section of your sales funnel's Order form.

To learn more about how to do this in detail, see: How to sell a course online.
2
Automatically add a student using an opt-in page
To provide access to a course automatically after a contact registers via your opt-in page, follow these steps:

a. Select Submit form as the form button's primary action in the editor, and then redirect subscribers to the next step or page of your choice.
b. Add an automation rule with a Funnel step form subscribed trigger and an Enroll in course action.

To find out more about the complete process, please refer to the article: How to give free access to a course.

Tip for Free Courses
If you want to give completely free access to your course to build an audience, we highly suggest using Method 2 (Opt-in Page).
3
Manually add a student
You can manually enroll individual contacts directly into your courses from the course dashboard. For a detailed tutorial on how to manually add a single student, read: How to manually add students to a course.
4
Manually add multiple students
To add multiple contacts to a course at the same time, follow these steps:
  • Create a new tag (click here for a detailed tutorial).
  • Create a new automation rule with a Tag added trigger and select the newly created tag.
  • In the same automation rule, choose the Enroll in a course action and select the relevant course.
  • Save the automation rule.
  • Assign the newly created tag to your contacts in bulk (click here for a detailed tutorial).
With this method, the automation rule triggers immediately when the tag is assigned, automatically enrolling all selected contacts in the course simultaneously.

Automated Emails
With any of these four methods, newly enrolled students will automatically receive a system email with their login credentials and a link to access the course content.
